Born in 1999, she was educated at Abande Memorial School in Maiduguri and Maitama Model Secondary School in Abuja, then read Political Science at the University of Maiduguri. She founded the foundation at fourteen while still in junior secondary school, and has led it ever since.
Her entry into public advocacy was the Bring Back Our Girls campaign in the North East. Since then her work on girls' education and gender-based violence has been profiled by The Guardian Nigeria, Daily Trust, Vanguard and Leadership. She has spoken at TEDx Baze University on humanitarian work in conflict zones, and is an alumna of the YALI Regional Leadership Centre.
In October 2025 she was nominated for The Future Awards Africa Prize for Community Action.
